Background: The end-user produces starch and glucose from American yellow maize, by wet processing. Glucose syrup is produced by acid hydrolysis from milk starch 21 Be, Protein .04%, Oil 0.2% content.
After hydrolysis the crude hydrolysate passes to separator to remove part of insoluble protein and oil.
The hydrolysate is slightly yellowish in color.. So activated carbon is added and mixed for a while in order to decolorize the glucose syrup before filtration through candel filters.
