We are located in Miami, Florida, and we are seeking a highly reliable manufacturer that can supply us 6, 000 laptop units this year. The total contract calls for 32, 000 laptops over 4 years.
The laptops will be sent to South America for use by school children. Therefore, the price has to be very competitive. The minimum specification for the laptops are as follows:
1. Celeron or AMD 1 gig.
2. 512 RAM
3. 40 gig Hard Drive
4. 15 inch monitor
5. CD/DVD combo.
6. No operating system required, but must be able to run Windows or Linux.
Interested manufacturers must be able to show that they have the capability to handle large orders. Also, please provide us several recent Trade References, preferably in the United States.
