I received your letter of products you produce in China for export. We need
a very special generator of size 1000 watt or approximately 2 horsepower engine
(1400 watt engine).
The output must be DC instead of normal AC - with a nominal voltagae of 48 VDC
but be able to produce 55 VDC to charge batteries. We can adjust engine
throttle to set voltage.
Also this generator must be able to electric start. With a DC generator it is
easy to make this by using the generator as a motor to rotate engine shaft
and start engine. Just connecting it to 48VDC battery will cause it to rotate
with very much torque and start engine right away.
We do all the electronics here in the US - but we need a cheap source of the
permanent magenet generator and engine (gasoline 4-stroke type). We also
enclose in a box which is mounted to the bumper of a military vehicle for
operating radio equipment. The generator will start and stop automatically
to keep batteries charged. No user is required.
Please let me know if your company can make this type of generator. I have
been to China (Suzhou - near Shanghai) and I think it is our best place to
get the components made for our customer.
