We are AL-Zaineh for Metal Forming Company in Amman, Jordan. We are working in the wire products field. We have been asked to supply the high tensile steel wire 7.00mm material for prestressed concrete poles under the following specifications:-
1-Quantity: 300 Metric Tons.
2-Steel required to be bright plain high tensile steel wire 7.00mm diameter and will be used in manufacturing prestressed concrete poles for medium voltage network.
3-The steel should confirm in all respects with the requirements of B.S 5896: 1980 or equivalent.
4-The nominal tensile strength of the steel should be (1570N/mm2).
5-The steel should be of "Low Relaxation" quality and the wire is pre-straightened and will run out straight from coil when used on site.
6-No joint allowed in the wire which should be one piece in the coil.
7-Steel should be supplied in large diameter coils of 1.8m-2.4m.
8-Each coil should contain not more than 250-300kgs.
9-Packing:-
A)Good attention should be paid to the packing of each coil to ensure good protection to the steel during loading, shipping unloading and transportation. For that, every coil should be wrapped in according with the following manner:-
- One layer of thick and good quality Nylon Strip of 10cms width over the steel.
- One layer of good quality Hessian Strip of 10cms with over the Nylon Strip.
- Over the above two layers a binding wire is to be wrapped to give accurate tightness to have the whole wrapping.
B)Each coil should have a separate label made of steel sheet with a reasonable size.
This label should contain the following informations
EDCO/FPO/..........................(The number of the EPO will be given after awarding the contract)
Coil No:............................
Weight of coil:..................
10-Sample from each coil should be tested in laboratory of the manufacturer, and all results obtained should be tabled, signed and transferred to the purchaser for his checking and records.
11-Where compliance with a specific standard specification is called for, the standard used shall be that in force at the time of tender.
So will you please give us your price CFR Aqaba Port, Jordan and F.O.B.
